Radio Frequency Face Treatments
(Bi Polar/Tri Polar)

Depending on the condition of the skin at the start of treatment, few or many treatments will be required for optimal results. Again, the worse the original skin condition, the more frequently maintenance sessions will have to be performed.

As well as simple face lifting, the general skin condition also improves with RF. The texture is healthier, a glow is more apparent, and wrinkles/fine lines are lighter. This is obviously not the case should a surgical face lift be performed, where the underlying skin condition remains weak.

Radiofrequency is a good option for people looking for overall improvement without injections (Botox, fillers) or surgery. It also has the benefits of facial slimming (if desired) and reduction of acne.

Bipolar or Tri Polar

Bipolar refers to a device having two poles /Electrodes - Tri Polar having 3 Poles.

With bipolar delivery, the current from the generating machine flows only through the tissue which is between the two electrodes on the headpiece; these electrodes start and complete the electrical circuit. Hence, with bipolar delivery, no current flows through the rest of the body, so no grounding or return pad is needed.

In all cases of radiofrequency delivery types, it is the resistance to the current flow in the tissue, not the electrode that generates the heating effect.

RF (Radio Frequency) - Wrinkle/Expression Lines reduction after just 3 Sessions, obvious the skin improvement is also noticeable.

Before and after treatment

Radiofrequency Face Lifting Reduces Wrinkles / Expression lines

Radiofrequency (RF) is the most popular technology for non-surgical face lifting. It works by penetrating deep into the skin and promoting changes in the collagen structure. As we age, our skin produces less collagen, and the quality is not optimal. The collagen strands are disorganised due to free radical damage. This results in weakening of the skin and sagging.

RF works by immediately heating up the collagen strands, causing contraction. This produces the immediate lift seen. Very often, this result, however dramatic, will initially be temporary. Multiple treatments are required over a short space of time to stimulate new collagen production, following which the results will last longer.

What should you do before treatment?
You should try to avoid doing anything that will irritate your skin immediately before treatment. This includes sunbathing (natural or artificial). We at our Skin Beauty Clinic are unlikely to treat someone who has sun burn for example, as they would be more likely to suffer pain from the addition of heat to the already damaged skin; however an established tan would be fine.

Some women find that their skin is more sensitive right before and during their menstrual cycle so if you are a woman, you might want to take this effect on pain threshold into consideration when scheduling your treatment appointment(s).
